Richard L. Parker- Executive Director

Executive Director Richard L. Parker started at the Boys & Girls Club of Tipton County in May of 2006 after being affiliated with the Boys & Girls Club of Columbus, Indiana.

Mr. Parker started at the Club in Columbus, Indiana in August 1977 as Athletic Director. He served also in the capacities of Director of Operations, Program Director, and Executive Director.

He has a daughter (Abby) and a son in law (Nick), and they live in Chicago. Abby is a teacher and Nick is an editor of a food site. In August of 2013 Mr. Parker was delighted to become "Grandpa" for the first time to his precious grandchild Mira. 

Mr. Parker is a native of Seymour, Indiana, and was a member of the Seymour Boys Club for twelve years. He is a graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in Recreation Administration.



Amanda Mendenhall- Program Director

Program Director Amanda Mendenhall started at the Boys & Girls Club of Tipton County in May of 2010 as Summer Staff and Mitch’s Kids Coordinator. In the fall of 2010 Amanda was named part time Program Assistant. Amanda is a former Day Care owner and Special Education Assistant at Tipton Middle School, and in December of 2011 she was hired as full time Program Director.

Amanda was born and raised in Tipton County. She and her husband (Damien) have remained in Tipton to raise their three children, Quenton, Haley, and Garret. Amanda and her family are involved in the community and attend church at Rock Prairie Baptist Church.
