What’s Happening?

~It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas~

Interior Decorators: This program will return for the first time this school year and begin to decorate the Club for holidays, especially special events.

PLAY: Parts have been cast for our Club’s production of “The Christmas Carol.” You can view the play at our Community Holiday Open House.

Original Youngsters: Members have already been hard at work practicing singing and dancing for their holiday performances. You can view this awesome group of kids at the Community Open House.

Members will work on a newspaper or newsletter geared toward the members, as well as work on creative nonfiction pieces.

~Say Goodbye to Mr. Parker

Mr. Parker has been working with Boys & Girls Clubs for over 40 years. He is retiring this December. We are honoring him and his service to BGCA and especially to the Tipton Club at the Community Holiday Open House. This event will be Thursday, December 14th from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Boys & Girls Club. Make sure you come see all the kids have worked on to honor and say goodbye to Dick.

What Happened?

~Members solved a mystery using observation, chromatography, and other skills in STEM.

~Over 100 kids from the Club and community visited us for our 2nd Friendly Fright Night, “Creepy Carnival.” Thanks to everyone who donated candy and helped make the event a success. We also collected food for the Encore pantry.

~The Kids4Kindness and Torch Club programs planned and hosted a Halloween party for our members, ending it all with a costume contest.

~Keystone Club will be sponsoring their next event on November 17th from 6:30-8:30, open to the community 6th grade and older.

**Teen Scene will be on November 10th. Please sign up so we purchase enough supplies for the evening. It will be an on campus event with fun activities, some of which will be outside (weather permitting).

~A few teens have been taking advantage of their opportunity to volunteer around the Club. Ask your member about it and encourage them to get involved!
